Eating the Peach. (James and the Giant Peach)

 216. Eating the Peach (James and the Giant Peach) page 1

F (I) I've eaten many strange and scrumptious Bb (IV) dishes in my F (I) time

Like Bb (IV) jellied bugs and F(I) curried slugs

and G (II) earwigs cooked in C (V) slime

And F (I) mice with rice is very nice

When they're Bb (IV) roasted in their g (ii)  prime

But C (V) don't forget to sprinkle them with just a pinch of F (I) grime [Db]

I'm F (I) crazy 'bout mosquitos on a Bb (IV) piece of buttered F (I) toast

And C (V)  pickled spines of F (I) porcupines And G (II)  then a great big C (V) roast

And F (I) dragon's flesh, quite old, not fresh It [Db] costs a buck at most

It C (V) comes to you in barrels if you order it by F (I) post

For Bb (IV) dinner on my F (I) birthday shall I f (i) tell you what I F (I) chose?

Hot G (II) noodles made of poodles on a C (V)  slice of garden hose

And a Bb (IV) rather smelly F (I) jelly Made of f (i) armadillo's F (I) toes

The F (II) jelly is delicious, but you have to C (V) hold your nose

F (I) Peach, [Db} peach, peach, peach, peach, peach

F (I) Peach, [Db] peach, peach, peach, peach, peach

I F (I) crave the tasty tentacles of Bb (IV) octopi for F (I) tea

216. Eating the Peach (James and the Giant Peach) page 2

I Bb (IV) like hot dogs, but I F (I) love hot frogs And G (II) surely you'll a- C (V) gree

A F (I) plate of soil with engine oil's a super recipe (Reci- [Db] pe)

I C (V) hardly need to mention that it's practically F (I) free

F (I) Peach, [Db] peach, peach, peach, peach, peach

F (I) Peach, [Db] peach, peach, peach, peach, peach

We C (V) hardly need to mention that it's practically F (I) free

Now F (I) comes, my fellow travelers, the Bb (IV) burden of my F (I) speech

These Bb (IV) foods are rare be- F (I) yond compare

And G (II) some right out of C (V) reach

But F (I) there's no doubt I'd Bb (IV) go without A million plates of [Eb] each

For F (I) one small mite (One small mite) One [Db] tiny bite (Tiny bite)

Of C (V) this fantastic F (I) peach!

F (I) Peach, [Db] peach, peach, peach, peach, peach

F (I)  Peach, [Db] peach, peach, peach, peach, peach

C (V) This fantastic F (I) peach!
